Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC 2 guide: EX Champions’ Ballad, Divine Beast Tamer’s Trial quests and new gear explained

The Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC 2: The Champions’ Ballad is the second of two add-on chunks of content for the huge Switch and Wii U adventure.

Like DLC 1 The Master Trials, this expansion introduces new gear for you to find and collect, but also expands on the end game with new quests and Shrines to explore — which this Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC 1 guide will explain how to complete.

It’s not an easy expansion to complete, which is why you’ll need to do a good chunk of the game’s story before you can access it

If you’re after help for the main game itself, then consult our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide.

What is in the Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC 2?

When you purchase the expansion pass and patch the game to the latest version (on Switch, select the Zelda game icon, press the + button then System Update) you’ll be told about all the new content on the home screen.

There are essentially three new additions to the game:

  • The Champions’ Ballad (new post-game quest)
  • Treasure Rumours (nine new items across EX Treasure quests Dark Armor, Usuper King, Garb of Winds, Merchant Hood and Royal Guard Rumors)
  • Ancient Horse Gear (Saddle and Bridle in the EX Ancient Horse Rumors quest)
  • Master Cycle Zero (available once the main quest is complete)

Loading into your save will activate all the gear quests, which must be completed before you can access their relevant additions. The Champions’ Ballad, meanwhile, requires you take down all four of the Divine Beasts before you can begin.

EX The Champions’ Ballad: How to start the DLC 2 main quest

Again, first, make sure you have completed all four Divine Beasts to first activate the quest. This means all four dungeons and defeated each of the four Ganon Blight bosses that inhabit each one.

This is important because you’ll need to have unlocked all of the special Champion powers (there are four in total) so you can upgrade them as part of the DLC’s story.

Also, you’ll be returning to each Divine Beast a second time, so knowing how to defeat each boss will become very hand again later in the game.

Make sure that each Divine Beast questline has been completed, including speaking to any characters tied to that part of the main questline.

Once this is completed, Zelda will speak to you in a ghostly voice, beckoning you to visit the Shrine Of Resurrection where you started the game in the first place.

The Shrine Of Resurrection is based in the Great Plateau, but don’t worry if you can’t remember where it is as a marker will appear on the map.

You can also fast travel to the Shrine Of Resurrection, just like any other shrine. Interact with console to your right as you enter the doorway to begin the DLC.

How to use the One-Hit Obliterator

Following a brief cutscene, you’ll notice a special weapon that’s appeared in the shrine. This is the One-Hit Obliterator.

As its name suggest, one hit from this melee tool will kill any enemy dead, but there’s one very powerful caveat — regardless of how far you’ve upgraded your health, it will be stripped to a quarter of heart.

This means you’re as fragile as porcelain and everything from fall damage to running into spikes will kill you immediately. The One-Hit Obliterator is also a short-range melee weapon, so you’ll need to be careful when dealing with enemies with poles, spears and arrows.

Here’s a tip that isn’t immediately clear when you start the DLC — you can still use ranged weapons and shields.

Both of these things will become hugely important to dealing with the four camps of enemies you’ll need to clear in order to progress to the next part of the DLC, so consider heading back into the rest of Hyrule to stock up on multiple arrow types.

Just keep in mind that arrows such as Bomb Arrows have a splash damage radius that will need to be taken into account if you’re using them in the heat of battle.

This part of the DLC is self-contained within the Great Plateau, so you won’t be able to take the One-Hit Obliterator into the rest of the game world. Any enemy camps you’re currently part way through will also be reset if you leave, so stock up before you start proper.

Also, have a strong and durable shield to hand to deflect any enemy attacks that slip through. Your dodge and backflip will also serve you very well through this early section.

EX The Champions’ Ballad guide: How to complete The Divine Beast Tamer’s Trial

From collecting the One-Hit Obliterator, you’ll be taking taking down four camps, each one unlocking the following Shrines. They can be completed any order:

  • Zelda — Yokawa Ita and Collected Soul
  • Zelda — Rohta Chigah and Stop To Start
  • Zelda — Ruvo Korbah
  • Zelda — Etsu Korima and Path Of Light

Four new locations will then appear in the map, all located near or relatively close to the Divine Beasts you conquered and purified in the main story. You’ll now need to travel to each location where you’ll be given three more coordinates.

Each one corresponds to a new shrine — that means you’ll have to complete a total of 12 more shrines to progress to the final part of the DLC. Oh, and there’s a few boss fights to come as well, naturally.

After that, you then have four new quests, each of which containing three shrines each. You must complete all of these — in any order — to then reach the final dungeon.

EX Champion Mipha’s Song:

  • Zelda — Kee Dafunia, The Melting Point
  • Zelda — Sato Koda, Support and Guidance
  • Zelda — Mah Eliya, Secret Stairway
  • Zelda Illusory Realm boss Waterblight Ganon

EX Champion Revali’s Song:

  • Zelda — Shira Gomar, Aim for Stillness solution
  • Zelda — Kiah Toza, Master the Orb
  • Zelda — Noe Rajee, The Four Winds
  • Zelda Illusory Realm boss Windblight Ganon

EX Champion Daruk’s Song:

  • Zelda — Kami Omuna, Moving Targets
  • Zelda — Sharo Lun, Blind Spots
  • Zelda — Rinu Honika, Block the Blaze
  • Zelda Illusory Realm boss Fireblight Ganon

EX Champion Urbosa’s Song:

  • Zelda — Keive Tala, Big or Small
  • Zelda — Takama Shiri, Dual Purpose
  • Zelda — Kihiro Moh, Inside the Box
  • Zelda Illusory Realm boss Thunderblight Ganon

Once you have done all 12 (!) shrines and their bosses, the final dungeon and boss will be available:

  • Zelda — The Divine Trial dungeon
  • Zelda — Monk Maz Koshia boss fight

Once you have done that, the DLC is yours — along with the prize of Master Cycle Zero, which allows you to explore Hyrule in a whole new way. Congratulations — you deserve it!

Fantastic Armor Sets And Where To Find Them

The final DLC drop from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out now. Titled The Champions’ Ballad, it contains an assortment of new armor and headgear that offer new tactical and cosmetic benefits. Some are even inspired by characters that longtime franchise fans are likely to recognize, such as Ravio from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. To help you ease the headache of figuring out exactly where these items are, we’ve detailed each of their locations and have provided screenshots of where they are on the map.

Like the game’s first expansion pass DLC, it’s possible to find each costume out in the world by following a series of quest hints provided by various Rumor Mill magazines scattered across the world. However, you can nab all the special DLC items without interacting with these helpful texts. If you’re looking to take more of a hands-off approach, follow the details provided by the side-quest sections that open upon booting the game with the DLC installed.

It’s important to note that none of the new DLC armor can be upgraded at the Great Fairy Fountains. An unfortunate sacrifice in order to look as cool as you do with this stuff equipped.

The Champions’ Ballad DLC is the second and final part of Breath of the Wild’s paid DLC. If you need even more Zelda guides, check out our recipe and cooking manual, our beginner’s guide, or just our general list of everything you might want help figuring out. And of course you shouldn’t miss our official review of Breath of the Wild.

Royal Guard Armor

If you ever felt like Link should look more regal, than the Royal Guard armor is the perfect fit for you. When equipped, this set decreases the amount of stamina used from a charge attack. Each individual piece provides you a base defense rating of four.

Royal Guard Armor Piece Locations

Royal Guard Cap: This piece is found in a chest in the room above the Hyrule Castle Sanctum. Approach from the castle rear for the easiest path up.

Royal Guard Uniform: This piece is found in a chest in a small room near the Hyrule Castle Dining Hall. There should be a hallway in front that leads to a dead end, which you need to blast with a bomb.

Royal Guard Boots: The boots are found in a chest in the Hyrule Castle Guards’ Chamber, surrounded by two pesky Lizalfos.

Phantom Ganon Armor

Aside from looking incredibly menacing, the Phantom Ganon Armor offers you a stealth bonus. Each individual piece provides you a base defense rating of four. Hardcore fans are likely to recognize that the armor is inspired by Ganon’s appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Phantom Ganon Armor Piece Locations

Phantom Ganon Skull: This piece is found in a chest at the base of the main, large waterfall leading up to Corta Lake, in the Faron region.

Phantom Ganon Armor: This piece is hidden in a chest underneath the Sarjon Bridge, in the Faron region.

Phantom Ganon Greaves: This piece of armor is found in a chest next to the broken statue in Ebara Forest on the northern side of the curve in the pathway, in the Faron region.

Ancient Horse Armor

This armor set is likely to trigger memories of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’s horse armor, but don’t be alarmed, this set is a whole lot cooler and more functional. Comprised of two pieces, each provides a special perk. The Ancient Bridle increases the number of spurs available to the horse it’s equipped on, while the Ancient Saddle grants you the ability to summon your horse to your current location.

Ancient Horse Armor Piece Locations

Ancient Bridle: This piece is found in a chest at the peak of Satori Mountain, under the cherry-blossom tree. It’s just like one of my Japanese animes.

Ancient Saddle: This piece is found in a chest behind the Malanya Spring in the Lake region.

Island Lobster Shirt

Sometimes you’re just too lazy to put on clothes. Inspired by the pajamas you wear in the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Island Lobster Shirt doesn’t offer much defense, sporting a base defense rating of one. However, it does offer you an increased resistance to heat. That makes sense; after all, Wind Waker Link was always too hot wearing that hero’s tunic in the middle of summer.

Island Lobster Shirt Location

The Island Lobster Shirt is found in a chest at the root of the Menoat River, which is south of the Lake Tower. You’ll see the chest slightly upstream where it’s at the bottom of the river. Use the Magnesis Rune to unearth it from its watery slumber.

Ravio’s Hood

The hood of Ravio—the cowardly merchant’s hood from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds—offers a base defense rating of two. It’s not particularly useful, offering the odd benefit of increased speed while climbing sideways. But hey, at least it’s a fun little nod to the recent Link to The Past successor.

Ravio’s Hood Location

Oh Ravio, Ravio! Wherefore art thou Ravio’s hood? This piece of headgear is found in a chest near the Spring of Courage, directly underneath the right hand of the stone dragon.

Zant’s Helmet

If there’s one thing that most gamers remember about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, it’s the menacing oddball villain, Zant. His helmet contributed to his threatening countenance; though, when it was removed, we almost wished he’d kept it on. Luckily, this nifty piece of headgear can be found in Breath of the Wild. It sports a base defense rating of three, while offering the useful perk of making you unfreezable when it’s equipped.

Zant’s Helmet Location

Zant’s Helmet is found in a chest north of Tobio’s Hollow, on a small island with two dead trees at the west corner of the swamp.

Zelda Breath Of The Wild 2: The Most Anticipated Sequel

One of Nintendo’s most famous games, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the games fans are looking forward to.

Autoruns — Windows and program startup control

    Index

    • 1 What is Zelda Breath of the Wild 2?
      • 1. 1 What could this new contribution be about?
      • 1.2 Playability
      • 1.3 When is this premiere?

Well, one of the games that has reduced sales the most and symbolizes one of the great faces of the house of Nintendo is Link, or rather his video game saga; The Legend of Zelda. Since the release of the Game Boy, versions of this game have existed for development on other consoles or slightly more modern platforms that aim to tell the story of Link as a warrior and how he stopped evil on several occasions.

Although Nintendo’s mascot is known to be Mario, it’s clear that one of the important mascots is Link, a character so wonderful that he even added in as a playable character. Mario Kart for Swtich. One of the consoles that this game enjoyed the most was the Nintendo Ds and 3D, two consoles that were very important at the time.

But these portable consoles have become a bit dated compared to the new generations that other seats have evolved, giving a new step to new technologies that are superior to their predecessors. Nintendo as a company could not stay away from this competition of new generations and decides to release a console that corrects the mistakes of the past and will appeal to fans; in Nintendo Switch.

This new console brought something different; a more user-friendly interface and the fulfillment of the desires of both fans. Something important was to bring new titles or bring back their best franchises, which happened to Zelda, thus introducing Zelda Breath of the Wild in 2017, which is set in the events that took place 100 years after Link defeated Ganon.

This sequel is supposed to be about the events that took place after Link’s battle at the castle, and will also reveal new secrets that are not clear.

What could this new contribution be about?

It is not known what this second part of this wonderful game might have to do with, because even the developers themselves did not think of the idea of a sequel at first, however, the same game creator explained that since he developed the DLC, he thought that in this world there are new mythology that still needs to be told, which is very limited in the DLC.

At the very least, it should be remembered that the story will be in the same post-apocalyptic world in which Link woke up from his long sleep. Perhaps there will be a small jump in time in months, showing how the return to the harmony of people is taking place.

There is a possibility that the great enemy of this world has not been completely defeated, who always finds a way to return or overcome the defeats to which he is always destined. Of course, that’s a guess, he might have to face another enemy or evil to protect Princess Zelda and the wonderful people.

The important thing is that the beautiful Princess Zelda, as well as the great hero Link, can be seen in action again. It is hoped that the old characters who won the hearts of many will return.

There is still time to find out what the story of the game will be, but at least we know what will happen, perhaps in less time than we expect. Link’s story, according to his creator, is just beginning in this new environment.

    Playability

Well, as explained above, there is very little data on the game, it is still being processed, and, in turn, what official sources give are comments and a little advance. The important thing is that you can have an idea of how this new installment will play, given that its predecessor has not been released for a long time, so it may be logical that they want to add something new.

We are expected to have an open world where we can make our own decisions. That is, in the first part, users were given the opportunity to solve problems on their own, given that there were different ways to solve problems in the open world, to the point that it could take more or less, depending on how you will play.

Another possible thing is repetitive, be it long destinations and their secondary missions, as well as solving puzzles to be able to complete a mission or know where to go. There are also different puzzles and everyone can choose how to solve them, have maximum autonomy in the game.

The creator and producer explained in an interview that, unlike other parts, this will be something new and new, it is not known what it could be, but it is supposed to be something like a co-op mode, something that many fans asked to share by solving and playing. They are also expected to provide the ability to change the way the game is played, meaning the player can choose between playing with Zelda or with Link, a request that has long been popular among developers.

    When is the premiere?

There is no exact date to guarantee anything as it is still pure rumors and predictions from the media or fans who can’t wait for this new part. It is believed that, unlike the first batch, this one should be closer.

The first one was slow due to issues with the graphics engine as they had to adapt and improve things which delayed its release by 4 years. In contrast, the advance was made in 2019, estimated to be in 2021 or 2022.

How long does the breath of the wild last (and why)?

Breath of the Wild is a video game. It is part of The Legend Of Zelda video game series. This game was released on March 3, 2017. The developer of this game is Nintendo EPD. Nintendo is also the publisher of this game.

Directed by Eiji Aonuma. Breath of the Wild is a single player game. The main plot of «Legend of the Wild» is that the ancient kingdom called Hyrule is captured by the evil demon Ganon, but Princess Zelda, along with the warrior Link, fights Damon and saves the kingdom.

How long does the breath of the wild last?

    Single Player Average Time
    Main history 50 hours 16 m
    Main + add. 100 hours 04 m
    Actualists 192 hours 22 m
All styles of game 96 hours 06 m

(DISCOUNTION OF WITHOULD OF DIRECTION » awakens from a 100-year slumber to defeat a demon. In this game, Princess Zelda must choose a knight who can fight for her and her kingdom, and the player becomes a knight named «Click». But Princess Zelda has lost her memories, so the player has to collect all 13 memories of the princess so that Zelda and Click can defeat the demon.

We cannot estimate such a specific time because it varies from level to level and difficulty. It took about 7-20 hours to complete the main story without going to sub-level parts. However, there is one central part in this game — how to defeat the demon. But there are many sublevels. If one wants to complete all main quests or all side quests, all DLCs, all memories, all shrines.

But it doesn’t matter to them to finish the level in order to collect all of the above criteria; it will take approximately 200 hours. However, if the player does not want any information or any DLC or does not want to complete all quests. If he only focuses on completing the level, it will take approximately 60 hours.

However, if the player is an expert and has practiced the game many times, it will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour. If you don’t want to miss a drop of the fun and want to enjoy everything, then this is a professional level player and then it will take approximately 80 hours.

Why is Breath of the Wild so long?

The Legend of Zelda game series releases a new version of the game every two years. However, it took five years to realize the fresh «breath of the wild». Since it is one of the most popular video games in the world, users were somewhat impulsive about its late release.

However, game development is not an easy task; it is a creative process that requires more attention. However, Nintendo! You can’t just randomly hire someone to the game’s development team. The person must be qualified enough to be the designated developer in these companies. Also, they can’t hire more people as it can be difficult for new people to understand the whole process. No one can give 100% if they don’t know the project well.

However, the «breath of the wild» gaming experience is very enjoyable. The main plot is about how to defeat the demon that illegally took over the kingdom of Hyrule. But there are also many sub-levels with information, side quests, DLC, memories, shrines and everything else. One player can only focus on getting the demon and ignore all of these levels, but it’s nearly impossible for a gamer to ignore it all.

So people spend so much time and effort to complete the game, so the main responsibility of the developer is to make the game exciting so that it can attract people from all over the world. In this game, there were many stages that had to be completed in order to defeat the demon. Apart from that, there were many sub-stages that had many interesting tools.

    Conclusion

This game is completely dedicated to the action adventure genre. It is famous among the youth, but there are also so many people over 35 who also love to play this game, and there are people who are very passionate about this game. However, the entire Legend of Zelda series is the most famous and exciting, and Breath of the Wild is a new version of the game in this series.

However, there is always a good side and a bad side to everything. This game is one of the most popular games, however many gamers and professionals advise children to avoid this game as it is time consuming and can damage their mind.
