Sandbox-Endgame
Der ganze Grind zieht sich beständig durch das Spiel und auch im Endgame ändert sich daran nichts. Wobei man bei einem Sandbox-Spiel wie Black Desert Online eigentlich nicht wirklich von einem Endgame sprechen kann, denn es gibt’s quasi kein Maximallevel. Lediglich ab Stufe 50 setzt eine Art Bremse ein und wir leveln von da an nur noch sehr langsam.
Natürlich darf das Angeln in einem Sandbox-Spiel nicht fehlen.
Zumindest kommt ab Stufe 50 das PvP als neues Feature ins Spiel. Die Gefechte gegen andere Spieler konzentrieren sich dabei auf Gildenkämpfe. Wir schließen uns also einer Gemeinschaft von Spielern an und erklären einer anderen Gilde den Krieg. Danach sind deren Mitglieder für uns in der offenen Welt Freiwild. Außerdem können wir Burgen bauen und diese gegen unsere Feinde verteidigen, oder zum Sturm auf die gegnerischen Bastionen blasen.
Im Charaktereditor haben wir extrem viele Anpassungsmöglichkeiten
Raids und instanzierte Dungeons suchen wir hingegen vergebens. Erstere fehlen völlig und Dungeons sollen später noch kommen. Allerdings nicht als Instanz, sondern als offene Region, in der jeder frei schalten und walten darf. Lediglich besondere Weltenboss-Monster sind derzeit als hochwertige PvE-Inhalte vorhanden.
Story im Detail
Bei all den generischen Sandbox-Elementen hat Black Desert Online aber tatsächlich auch eine Story und eine sehr detailliert gestaltete Welt. Die Handlung präsentiert sich allerdings wenig spektakulär. Zwar ist die Geschichte um den mysteriösen Schwarzgeist durchaus spannend, aber da wir ohnehin nie eine Wahl haben und alles tun müssen, was der quietschende Wicht uns aufträgt, bleibt viel Potenzial ungenutzt.
Im Dialog-Spiel schließen wir mühsam Freundschaft mit NPCs.
Dafür ist der Rest der Welt umso interessanter und steckt voller Details — vorausgesetzt wir suchen danach.
Nur wenn wir uns aktiv für den Hintergrund interessieren, mit allen NPCs reden und allen Hinweisen nachgehen, haben wir schnell eine ausführliche Datenbank an Hintergrundwissen zusammengestellt und erfahren erst so, wie vielseitig und liebevoll gestaltet das Setting von Black Desert Online in Wahrheit ist.
Cash-Shop-Horror
Black Desert Online ist ein Buy2Play-Spiel, das 30 Euro kostet und dann so lange gespielt werden darf, wie wir wollen — Abokosten gibt es keine. Da das Spiel aber in Russland und Asien ein typischer Free2Play-Titel ist, gibt es auch in der westlichen Version einen Cash-Shop, wo wir gegen Echtgeld allerlei Kram wie Kostüme und Haustiere kaufen. Doch anders als bei vielen ähnlichen Titeln sind die Klamotten und Viecher nicht nur Kosmetik, sondern bringen handfeste Boni! Wer Geld investiert, hat einen Vorteil gegenüber sparsamen Zeitgenossen.
Der Cash-Shop bietet deftige Preise und unfaire Items.
Noch schlimmer ist, dass gerade die Haustiere — über die ein praktisches Auto-Loot-Feature ins Spiel kommt — ausschließlich über den Cash-Shop erhältlich sind.
Und wer gar die Viecher züchten will, muss gleich mehrere Biester gegen Echtgeld erwerben. Ein faires Shops-System sieht anders aus, vor allem, da viele der Items fast so viel kosten wie das ganze Spiel! Der fragwürdige Item-Shop trübt daher den Sandbox-Spaß, ebenso wie das auf lange Sicht repetitive Gameplay und die fehlenden PvE-Endgame-Elemente. Daher ist Black Desert Online eher ein Geheimtipp für Sandbox-Freunde, die sich gerne richtig tief in ein Spiel hineinwühlen wollen und die Spaß daran haben, sich durch harte Arbeit und viel Geduld etwas aufzubauen.

The developers of the project are the Korean company Pearl Abyss. So far, this game is little known among Russian users, but the creators are building quite ambitious plans. The developers have planned to create a large-scale MMORPG-online project, featuring non-traditional game elements for this genre. A distinctive feature from most similar projects is that in Black Desert there is no hyper-stylization of characters and the game world, although the action takes place during the Renaissance. The characters may refer to two conflicting states that are arguing over a very rare substance that is mined in the bordering Black Desert, where the name of the project comes from.
In addition to your own protagonist, non-player characters (NPCs) play an important role in the game.
In this version, they are not just lifeless statues, but participants in the process acting according to advanced algorithms. They also react to changing external game conditions, live in the game, form their attitude towards your hero, depending on your actions towards them. Black Desert Online — Gameplay
The most important gameplay feature in Black Desert is the combat system, which is more like traditional offline games than online games.
The combat system consists of combinations of combos, blocks and strikes. The control of each action is due to the level of endurance, which is distributed specifically for each movement in combat.
