The Fastest Way to Reach Level 62+

What is the max level in BDO?
BDO doesn’t like hard caps and instead opts for soft caps for many of its stats, including levels.
There is no max level in BDO, but leveling becomes progressively harder, especially after level 60 and 62.
The highest level character in BDO in 2022 is level 67. Just going from 66 to 67 took him almost two and a half years of grinding around the clock.
Most players will stop actively trying to level up at 61 or 62, as this is considered a soft cap.
How long does it take to reach the max level in BDO?
As we said above, leveling to 67 will take years of non-stop grinding. But reaching around levels 55-60 can be done in just a few hours or days, depending on your play style and leveling method.
Leveling Your First Character
If you are leveling your first character, it is wise to stick to the main story. It’s fast and you will get a ton of valuable rewards like bag space, and you will also earn Contribution Points and Energy for your character and your whole Family/Account that you will need.

Grinding Vs. Questing
As we said above, stick with questing for your first/main character. For your alts you can pick whatever you enjoy. At level 60 the fastest way to level 61 is questing with the Chenga Tome.
Season vs. Normal Character
For the purpose of leveling fast seasonal characters get a 100% XP bonus on Season servers amongst the plethora of other advantages to being a seasoned character.
Ancient Stone Chamber vs.
Mountain of Eternal Winter
Ancient Stone Chamber has some amazing rewards for new characters. Mountain of Eternal Winter is faster.
New characters can choose to start in the Ancient Stone Chamber or the new Mountain of Eternal Winter Zone. The Mountain is faster and is designed for new players to quickly catch up.
It is recommended that you go through the Ancient Stone Chamber and the main story at least once though.
Powerleveling
Powerleveling is possible in BDO. High-level players can group up with a lower-level player and grind high-level content.
The character being powerleveled will have few skill points and will need to grind those themselves.
AFK Leveling
AFK leveling in BDO is possible after level 50 and is a good way of spending your AFK time.
Simply head to Jamey Drucker in any major city to buy a “Book of Training – Combat”.
Now you can start attacking the nearby scarecrows for some free AFK XP.
Jamie Drucker is the man to talk to start AFK leveling.
Leveling Items
Chenga Tome
“Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom” can be obtained through a series of quests from the Black Spirit at level 53+. It will grant you 30% extra XP from quests.
The Chenga Tome is a must have at later levels.
Marni’s Stone
These can be bought from Wacky Toshi who can be found all over the world. If you are grinding it is worth picking up the appropriate Marni’s Stones for the spot where you are grinding for some extra XP.
Marni’s Stones offers a bit of extra XP when grinding.
XP Bonuses
XP bonuses can add up and make leveling a lot faster.
There are A LOT of XP bonuses available in BDO. Try to have as many as you can active but don’t stress out about getting all of them.

Leveling 1-59
Main Story / Questing
Doing the main story and side-quests is still one of the best ways to level up your character.
You will get a lot of XP, skill points, money, and some nice gear and other rewards along the way.
If you are struggling with a quest feel free to ask for help in /region or use a leveling guide.
Follow the main storyline through the following areas:
Balenos (Velia) > Serendia (Heidel) > Calpheon > Media > Valencia
For an even faster route, choose the Mountain of Eternal Winter zone when making a new character. This will take you to level 51+ in just a matter of hours. Continue following the main quest line until you finish Valencia.
Remember to do the questline for the Chenga Tome at 53+.
Questing 59-60
At level 59 you can move on to grinding or for the fastest leveling you can do sidequests in the following areas:

For solo leveling, I recommend the following:
Follow the main story line, if you are a new player:
Balenos (Velia) → Serendia (Heidel) → Calpheon → Media → Valencia
OR Mountain of Eternal Winter main quest line will get you to level 51. (The game doesn’t recommend that beginners start here because of the story line.
However, I like it because it’s a quick and easy way to quest for level 51.)
You may want to hold off on doing the side quests right away. Side quests in beginner zones will give you 1% per quest when below level 58. (1.3% with a Chenga Tome)
Valencia main quest gives a lot of experience if you are level 55 to 57. “[Lv.55 Valencia] Eastern Sands Kingdom Story” and “[Lv.56 Valencia II] Treasure of Valencia.”
Completing both main and side quests in Valencia give combat EXP.
Valencia and Mountain of Eternal Winter are the only zones to offer Combat Exp for completing the main quest line. However, Valencia is also the most difficult zone for unprepared players due to desert sickness and desert travel.
If you are not level 59 after finishing Valencia, do the beginner side quests you skipped earlier. (Calpheon City is a good place to find easy side quests.)
At level 59, go to Kamasylvia, Drieghan, and Star’s End and do side quests for 1.3% per quest. Main quest lines for these zones do not give combat exp, but it’s good to do them at least once per family.

December 26th.
Cairo, Coptic Quarter.
Today we will dedicate a day to a unique part of the life of modern Cairo — the culture of the Copts. The Copts are the direct descendants of the ancient Egyptians who did not convert to Islam, but remained adherents of the Christian faith. And, one might say, they have kept it unchanged since the 4th century. Walking around the Coptic Quarter, we will be able to see what the Christian Church looked like in the very first years of its existence: we will visit the unique Hanging Church, look into the oldest Christian church in the world, and also try to get into the Cathedral Church of the Coptic Church — an amazingly beautiful Church of St. Mark. nine0026
December 27th. Alexandria, the colonial capital of the Mediterranean
Today we are waiting for an amazing city that has absorbed the atmosphere and history of many cultures and eras. We are talking about Alexandria — the ancient capital of Egypt, in the royal palaces of which Alexander the Great, Caesar, Cleopatra and Mark Antony decided the fate of the world!
Alexandria is a very atypical city for Egypt: the spirit of the Mediterranean reigns here, the atmosphere of the colonial era, and, at the same time, typical Arab bustle flows on the streets.
The result is an explosive mix of ancient Roman ruins, the amazing beauty of mosques, European streets and colonial houses. nine0026 We will feel like real travelers of past eras: we will drink coffee in a coffee house of the early 19th century, dine in the best fish restaurant in the city and take a promenade along a typical Mediterranean embankment, on which houses of the Art Nouveau era and the last heyday of the once great capital flaunt.
December 28th. The road to the Siwa oasis and the sunset on the walls of the ancient fortress.
Today we get up early as we begin our journey to the farthest point of our journey — the Siwa oasis, lost in the middle of the sands of the Sahara near the border with Libya. The road ahead is long (about 7 hours), but interesting — the landscapes outside the window will change rapidly: first, our path will pass along the Mediterranean coast, and then we will go deeper into the desert and closer to sunset we will arrive at our hotel, comfortably located in the middle of an endless sea of date palms .

December 29th. Siwa oasis, jeep safari in the Sahara desert.
Can you imagine, you are on the very edge of Egypt’s borders! Here the breath of Africa is already felt with might and main, and Libya is less than 40 km away. The sands are rising from all sides, but you and I are on an island of safety, tranquility and real bliss: in the ancient oasis of Siwa. The place from where our jeep safari to the Sahara will start. In the meantime, let’s get acquainted with the life of the oasis itself. And the first place where we will go is the ancient fortress of Shali, which rises in the middle of the oasis and is completely made of salt, clay and straw. nine0026
After exploring the fortress, we will swim in the warm spring of Cleopatra, drink freshly squeezed juice with mango and basil, have lunch with traditional Berber food and go on an adventure in the very center of the sandy sea! We equip the expedition and go by jeeps to the Sahara — where there are huge dunes, sands and amazing beauty.
We will race against the wind, burrow into the sand and climb the sandy mountains. We will scream with delight and marvel at the surrounding beauty. We will definitely go sandboarding, drive to a hot spring in the middle of the desert and look at ancient fossils — after all, there was once a sea on the site of the Sahara. nine0026 And closer to sunset, we will light a fire and under billions of stars we will try real Berber food cooked right in the hot sand.
December 30th. Siwa Oasis, Salt Lakes and Return to Cairo
After breakfast we will visit a real miracle in the middle of the desert — salt lakes with crystal clear turquoise water, in which you can literally soar, because it keeps you on the surface. After — we will stop at a hot spring, where you can wash off the salt. And then — we will start our way back to Cairo to continue our acquaintance with Other Egypt (the way back will take about 9hours).
December 31st. The world’s first Pyramids and the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Today we will go to the suburbs of Cairo to see with our own eyes the last of the surviving Wonders of the World — the Egyptian Pyramids! It is impossible to put into words what a person experiences when, through the dust and sand that dance furiously in the air, the outlines of the Great Pyramids suddenly begin to appear. How? When? Who and why? Thousands of questions immediately appear in my head — and it is on them that we will try to find answers. nine0026
Pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, Menkaure and, of course, the legendary Sphinx. We will see these pictures from the history books after lunch. And in the morning we will go to study the ancient buildings in the Dahshur complex, where the very first stone Pyramids in the world have been preserved. An absolutely unique moment, because there will not be a soul around us — only our shadows and the shadows of the Great Past.
In the evening, after returning to the hotel and resting after an interesting day, we will go to one of the best restaurants in Cairo to have a delicious dinner and celebrate the New Year! nine0026
January 1st.
The oasis of Bahariya, lost in the desert.
Immediately after breakfast, we will leave for an absolutely unique place — the Bahariya oasis, the gateway to the Black and White Deserts (the journey will take about 4 hours). Upon arrival, we go on a sightseeing jeep tour of the oasis, during which we will climb the mountain of dinosaurs, visit the African savannah, swim in a hot spring, look at the lifeless world of salt lakes and spend a crazy sunset overlooking the entire oasis.
For dinner, we will have a Bedouin chicken in a lemon marinade and a starry sky overhead. nine0026
January 2nd. Oasis Bahariya, Black and White Deserts.
Few people know, but in Egypt there is a unique place with absolutely Martian landscapes — the Black and White Deserts, which are in relative proximity to each other. We will go there for the whole day today.
The Black Desert is a place of extraordinary beauty with numerous outcrops of basalt on the surface.
Climbing the highest mountain in the desert, we will see all the splendor of black stone and orange sand, drawing amazing patterns on the ground. nine0026 The White Desert is an absolutely unearthly place of creamy white color, where the wind plays with sandstone for millions of years, creating sculptures of bizarre shapes and covering everything around with frozen snow waves from limestone blocks. Once there was the bottom of the ocean, now this place is more like a landscape of another planet. And thanks to the different position of the sun in the sky, we will see how the desert changes its colors at sunset.

January 3rd. Dahab, another world of Egypt
Well, all the deserts of Western Egypt have been conquered, photos have been taken, but there are still many adventures ahead. Today we are moving to the Sinai Peninsula — a unique place with sand and rocky mountains and a sky-turquoise sea.
But don’t think that we will take you to the tired Sharm el-Sheikh. No, dear friends. We came to Sinai for a special atmosphere: a mecca for people with a free spirit, a real paradise for lovers of active water recreation, a coastline with an amazing underwater world and living coral reefs. To get to Dahab, we leave Bahariya back to Cairo, where we drive to the airport and fly to Sharm, from where we will reach our cozy hotel, sandwiched between the Red Sea reef and the terracotta Sinai mountains.
January 4th. Sinai mountains, dawn on Mount Moses.
Okay, time to ground yourself and take a break. Especially when there is such beauty around: the sea splashes at your feet, behind you are beautiful mountains, and in the sky there is a bright sun. Today we will walk around Dahab, get acquainted with this amazing place, and after lunch, each of you will be able to choose an activity to your liking — try windsurfing, dive on the reef or just sunbathe on the coast.
At sunset, we will climb to a secret point overlooking the bay and the city itself, and after midnight we will go to an impeccably beautiful place to celebrate Christmas on Mount Moses. When the pet’s satiety bar is empty, the pet becomes hungry. When you feed a pet, it gains experience. A pet that has gained enough experience gains a new level. The higher the rank of the pet, the more experience it needs to get new levels. The higher the level of the pet, the less time it spends collecting prey. Pets of the first rank at the first level spend 10 seconds picking up an item, and at the tenth level — 4 seconds. The maximum pet level currently is 10.
