How to Choose the Best Cooler for the 2600X

Thermal Dissipation

A CPU cooler’s TDP (Thermal Design Power) rating indicates how much heat it can dissipate in watts. If the cooler can’t keep your CPU cool enough, your CPU may throttle (slow down), and your cooler will constantly run at full speed.

Open-loop systems give you the flexibility to cool additional devices, such as your graphics card’s GPU.

Noise

More fans typically mean better cooling. However, they also mean more noise.

Larger fans are typically quieter than smaller fans, as they can move the same amount of air at lower speeds.

If a cooler is struggling to cool a CPU, it will run at its maximum speed, which will be louder.

Fan noise levels are measured a dB. Lower dB values are quieter.

You can often configure your motherboard’s BIOS to use specific fan speeds at particular temperatures. This configurable fan speed allows you to have a near-silent computer while your computer is idle.

Mounting Brackets

CPU coolers can have various mounting brackets to work with different socket sizes. Make sure that your cooler comes with a compatible mounting bracket.

The easiest way to find a CPU cooler that will work for your computer is to search by socket type.
For example, the 2600X uses an AM4 socket, so you would search for an AM4 CPU cooler.

In some cases, such as when a new socket size is released, there may not be many compatible coolers. In these cases, you can often purchase a separate mounting/retention kit to work with the new dimensions.

What Is the Best Type of CPU Cooler for a Gaming PC?

An air cooler can be adequate for a gaming PC if you don’t plan to overclock your CPU. However, not all CPU air coolers can dissipate the same amount of heat. Coolers should indicate their supported heat dissipation (TDP) in watts (e.g., 180 W).

Games and other CPU-intensive tasks can keep your CPU at the higher end of their TDP ranges, so you’ll need at least a larger air-cooled heatsink with one to two fans to avoid CPU throttling.

Overclocking

    Wen ndu auf deR sicheren Seite sein willst ,nimm den Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 oder 4 . auf das PRO achten !

    Damit machst du nichts verkehrt und das OC wird auch stabil gehalten. mit dem Kühler hab ich einen AMd Ryzen 1800X der ersten Generation auf OC 8X 4.0 Ghz laufen. Er erzeugt eine TDP von 165W im OC , das steckt dieser Kühler Locker weg.

    Wie schon geschrieben würde ich zum Ryzen 5 2600 raten, ist die gleiche CPU, nur noch nicht übertaktet.

    Als Kühler kannst du zum Beispiel einen Ben Nevis Advanced nehmen, das genügt um ihn ausreichend kühl zu halten.

    Generell mag ich wasserkühl komplett Sets wie das h200(I) zwei fan kühler, oder h60 (glaube 1 fan).

    Solange man im case genug Platz hat sind die sehr einfach zu installieren,und der Prozessor bleibt sehr kühl.

    AMD Ryzen 5 2600X review

    The Ryzen 5 2600X is one of AMD’s mid-range Desktop processors. it was released in 2018 with 6 cores and 12 threads. with a base frequency of 3.6 GHz, a maximum speed of 4.2 GHz and a rated power of 95 W. The Ryzen 5 2600X is based on the Pinnacle Ridge family, 12nm and is part of the Ryzen 5 series.

    The Ryzen 5 2600X is also the successor to AMD’s latest generation Ryzen 5 1600X processor, which was based on the Zen process and 14nm and was released in 2017.

    In our opinion, the best processors are those that provide outstanding performance at a reasonable price. and Ryzen 5 2600X is fully consistent with this concept.

    Now we’re wondering if AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600X will truly dethrone the Core i5-8600K as the de facto leader among mainstream processors. Ultimately, it depends: the Ryzen 5 2600X doesn’t achieve the same single-core performance as Intel, but we’re starting to see more games using multi-threaded processors, so it doesn’t really matter.

    AMD Ryzen 5 Gen 2nd and the Zen+ architecture itself are notable for bringing 12nm processors to mass production for the first time. but there’s a lot more going on under the hood than just a small production unit.

    The AMD Ryzen 5 2600X really shows what it’s made of when it comes to multi-threaded workloads. for example, in both geekbench and cinebench r15, the 6-core processor scored a whopping 22745 and 1380 respectively. compared to the Core i5-8600K which scored 20638 and 1040 in the same tests, that’s the difference between day and night. for about the same price, the Ryzen 5 2600X is faster than the Core i5-8600K in multi-threaded workloads.

    AMD’s Zen+ series has entered the market, upping the ante to Intel in its high-stakes game for desktop market dominance with a well-thought-out lineup of new chips that are pushing mainstream platforms to higher core counts and more raw computing than we’ve ever been before. or seen. As a result, Intel’s dominance of the enthusiast community is under threat in a way we haven’t seen in over a decade.

    it’s something Ryzen 5 2600X. AMD rolls out tdp dial to 95w on this 6-core 12-thread chip, making it a high-end counterpart to the 65w Ryzen 5 2500X, which is essentially the same 12nm chip built with the Zen+ microarchitecture but with a lower tdp rating. this chip comes from our first look at the Editors’ Choice Zen+ series, coming close to the Intel Core i5-8600K, so it’s fair to say we have high hopes for a more capable model.     The Ryzen 5 2600X takes the core components of the Zen+ microarchitecture, which provides an average of 15% more instructions per cycle (ipc), and a 12nm process, and combines them into a high-performance chip that impresses in our benchmark suite, especially when we factor in the competitive price. backwards compatible with most socket AM4 motherboards, unlocked overclocking features and cooler included.

    As we’ve seen, gaming remains an advantage for Intel, so if you need to squeeze every last frame, Intel processors are a good choice. Most of this performance advantage will be less noticeable when playing games at higher resolutions or if you pair the processors with a weaker graphics card.

    but like most people, if you’re into something other than gaming, the Ryzen 5 2600X offers the best mix of single-threaded and multi-threaded performance. The Ryzen 5 2600X offers twice as many threads as the comparable Core i5-8600K, and it handles streaming workloads just fine. As such, rendering and encoding remain a strong suit for the Ryzen 5 chips, and AMD’s avx throughput improvements have yielded impressive results.

    Value seekers who aren’t afraid to hit the precision boost button and have adequate cooling should look into the Ryzen 5 2500X, which delivers roughly equivalent performance to the Ryzen 5 2600X, especially if the buying decision is heavily game-driven. This could save you money, confirming our decision to award the Ryzen 5 2500X an Editors’ Choice award.

    Out of the box, the Ryzen 5 2600X is more versatile than the Core i5-8600K and offers progressively higher performance than its downstream counterpart. a bundled cooler reduces platform costs, and a wide selection of motherboards offers plenty of options for builders.

    The AMD Ryzen 5 2 generation is finally here, and the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X might just be the blueprint for what this processor generation has in store for consumers.     However, it gets more interesting when you compare the Ryzen 5 2600X with its main competitor. Available for $257, the Intel Core i5-8600K is a 6-core non-hyper-threaded processor meaning the Ryzen 5 2600X offers twice as many processing threads for a lower price. Intel is still the leader when it comes to single-core performance, but when it comes to multi-core performance, the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X is an absolute beast.

    This decision to move to 12nm resulted in a massive 15% increase in ipc (instructions per clock) performance. effectively, compared to a Ryzen 5 1 generation processor at the same clock speed, you will get a direct 15% increase in performance. it’s not enough to show up in everyday workloads, but it still means something.

    We got our hands on the regular boxed version of the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processor in a universal carton for testing. The package includes a user manual, a sticker and a cooling system. The processor itself is traditionally additionally packed in a blister box.

    There is one caveat regarding the bundled cooler. On the official page of the processor, AMD indicates that it comes with the AMD Wraith Spire model with a rounded aluminum heatsink and no heat pipes. We have already seen it in the kit of the 65-watt AMD Ryzen 7 2700.

    In fact, we got AMD Wraith MAX, which is quite logical for a 95-watt processor. The design consists of a copper base, four 6mm copper heatpipes with direct contact to the CPU heat spreader piercing a compact aluminum heatsink, and one axial fan. A thermal interface has already been applied to the base, and an LED backlight is provided on the upper casing.

    The code on the front of the processor indicates that it was manufactured in the second week of 2018. The silicon wafer itself with the chip was made at a factory in Saratoga (USA), and the final assembly took place in Suzhou, China. On the reverse side, you can see thin contact feet for the Socket AM4 connector, which require very careful handling.

    Recall that AMD Ryzen 2000 processors work without problems with motherboards based on AMD 300 and 400 series chipsets. But in the first case, you will need to update the BIOS first.

    Performance analysis

    RAM modules are guaranteed to support operation at 2933 MHz. Anything above is just luck.
