Neues Modell erkennen + alle Unterschiede
Mit dem neuen Modell ändert sich mehr, als Nintendo angekündigt hat.
Nintendo hat der Switch ein kleines Hardware-Update spendiert. Die aktualisierte Konsole mit der Modellnummer HAC-001(-01) ist bereits bei den ersten Händlern erhältlich und hat vor allem eine gesteigerte Akku-Leistung. Im Inneren der Konsole hat sich allerdings noch etwas mehr getan, von dem Nintendo nichts verraten hat.
Welche Änderungen es, abseits des Akkus, noch gibt, hat der YouTuber Kevin Kenson untersucht.
Neben ein paar Tests hat er die neue Version auch aufgeschraubt und dabei ein paar kleinere Verbesserungen entdeckt, die sich von der alten Switch unterscheiden.

Das Display ist besser
Der eingebaute Bildschirm im Switch-Tablet ist ein bisschen besser, als wir es bisher gewohnt waren. Die Änderungen sind zwar nicht bahnbrechend, aber trotzdem werdet ihr vor allem unter direktem Sonnenlicht an der frischen Luft mehr erkennen.
Das liegt daran, dass das neue Display etwas heller ist. Die Messung hat ergeben, dass die überarbeitete Switch eine höhere Leuchtdichte hat. Damit wird die Helligkeit flächenhafter Lichtquellen beschrieben. Zwar handelt es sich nur um eine kleine Verbesserung, aber im direkten Vergleich ist sie deutlich erkennbar.

Außerdem werden Farben auf dem neuen Bildschirm wärmer dargestellt. Da das alte Display tendenziell zu kalte Farben wiedergibt, ist das ebenfalls eine Verbesserung, da Farben nun akkurater angezeigt werden.
Ob dieser Unterschied im Alltag ins Gewicht fällt, bleibt euch überlassen. Besser ist es allerdings schon.
Die Joy-Con sind nicht mehr die gleichen
Bevor ihr euch zu früh freut, kommt direkt eine kleine Anmerkung: Es gibt Hardware-Änderungen an den mitgelieferten Joy-Con. Ob diese allerdings zur Lösung des Drift-Problems der Analog-Sticks beitragen, ist zu bezweifeln.
Der eingebaute Akku in den Controllern ist zum Beispiel ein anderes Modell. Das muss allerdings keine realen Auswirkungen haben. Die Kapazität scheint unverändert zu sein. Auch die Platine hat eine andere Nummer, hat aber ansonsten keine Überraschungen parat.
Die Analog-Sticks neigen dazu, bei längerer Nutzung kaputt zu gehen. Ob sich das beim neuen Modell ändert, bleibt abzuwarten.
Viel interessanter ist eher, dass die Analog-Sticks aus sehr ähnlichen, aber doch etwas veränderten Bauteilen bestehen. Die Einheit mit der die Sticks verbunden sind, unterscheidet sich optisch ein wenig.
Außerdem tragen die Bauteile eine andere Seriennummer.
Ob diese Anpassungen im Endeffekt eine spürbare Verbesserung des Drift-Problems mit sich bringen, bleibt abzuwarten. Da die Fehlfunktion meist erst nach monate- oder jahrelanger Nutzung auftritt, lässt sich das derzeit schlicht nicht beurteilen. Große Änderungen sind es allerdings nicht. Ihr solltet daher nicht zu viele Hoffnungen in dieses Joy-Con-Modell legen.
Die neue Switch wird nicht so warm
Neben dem verbesserten Display gibt es einen weiteren Unterschied, der euch das Zocken tendenziell etwas angenehmer macht. Mit einer Wärmekamera lässt sich feststellen, dass die neue Variante der Konsole nicht mehr so heiß wird.
Eine zu warme Konsole fühlt sich unter Umständen nicht nur unangenehm an, wenn ihr im Handheld-Modus unterwegs seid. Im schlimmsten Fall kann es sogar zu Schäden an der Hardware kommen. Das passiert zwar nur sehr selten, ist mit der neuen Switch jedoch noch einmal unwahrscheinlicher geworden.
Wie erkennt ihr die neue Nintendo Switch beim Kauf?
Die verbesserte Switch kommt in einem roten Karton. Die Box der alten Variante ist weiß.
Auch wenn der bessere Akku definitiv das Highlight der Hardware-Anpassungen ist, lohnt es sich auch wegen der hier genannten Änderungen, zu dem neuen Modell zu greifen. Doch woher soll man als Käufer wissen, welche Variante gerade angeboten wird?
Die Antwort liefert die Verpackung der Konsole. Während das bisherige Modell in einem Karton mit weißem Hintergrund ausgeliefert wurde, kommt die aktualisierte Fassung in einer roten Box zu euch. Ihr müsst also nicht erst mühsam die Seriennummern vergleichen, sondern könnt auf den ersten Blick erkennen, wofür ihr gerade Geld ausgebt.
Zusätzlich zum neuen Switch-Modell erscheint in diesem Jahr auch noch die Nintendo Switch Lite. Die kleinere Variante mit fest verbauten JoyCon erscheint am 20. September im Handel.

Switching the input language in Windows using CapsLock / Habr
The method I propose is not something unique and / or unknown.
In any of the two search engines, you can easily find a lot of notes on how to set up switching the input language using any keyboard button in Windows, just like in Linux, only a little more complicated and with a reboot. However, I did not find (here you can correct me and offer a link in the comments) ready-made instructions, including such an important item as saving the letter Ё , as well as the backtick with a tilde. This is the guide I offer you.
The essence of the problem
Windows 7 provides the user with the long-awaited ability to switch input languages by backticks:
It would seem convenient, but no. Personally, I see the following shortcomings:
- small key
- CapsLock is still configured on a home Linux machine
- missing letter Y
- missing tilde and backtick
For those who, like me, are doomed to go to develop/production servers using PuTTY, the loss of the tilde and backtick is quite painful.
I couldn’t stand even a month, although it would seem how easy it is to remember Alt+126 and Alt+96. Need to do something!
Changing scan codes
The solution for switching layouts using CapsLock is to redefine scan codes through the registry. There are many descriptions of how to do this. I can suggest reading one of them at the link: www.howtogeek.com.

As you can see, one or more rules for changing the form are written in the registry:
So we need to plan out the permutation algorithm.
The first permutation is obvious — by pressing CapsLock (0x3a) emulate pressing Yo (0x29). The second one is also roughly understandable — in order to still leave the functionality of the caps, you need to reassign some unnecessary key to it. In my example, this key turned out to be ScrollLock (0x46). But the third permutation is responsible for saving the letter Y. For this tricky code, we need an “unnecessary key” from the text keyboard, Pause / Break will not work. However, here we are lucky. Even on a fully enabled Russian keyboard layout, there are duplicate keys:
This button in the lower left corner is suitable for replacing the letter Y, as well as the tilde with a backtick. It has a scancode 0x56 and is absent on most keyboards, so we will emulate it when you press the Y-button.
At this point, you can make changes to the registry and send the machine to reboot.
Add layouts
As you might guess, after a reboot, instead of the letter Y, we will get a slash.
To correct the situation, you need to correct the existing keyboard layout. Keyboard layouts can be edited using the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator 1.4 utility. Using the program is easy — load the source keyboard from the list, make changes (change the 0x56 key characters to the required letters Yё), save the source file and build the installation package from the Project menu.
The same operation should be done with the English keyboard, changing the behavior of the backslash to backtick and tilde.
The result should be two folders with an installation package for the keyboard layout. We install each by running setup.exe and proceed to the next step.
Setting layouts
Open «language settings». First, set the layout switching to Grave accent, as shown in the first picture of this article. Then add the newly installed layouts: US-Custom and Russian-Custom. Finally, set the default input to US-Custom. This is necessary, since the US layout cannot be deleted, but this also has a plus — now when you change the input language, the size of the tray icon changes and it is much easier to notice whether you hit CapsLock or missed it.
The result should look something like this:
If everything went well, then you got the ability to switch input languages using CapsLock without paying anything significant for it. You can safely buy the same keyboards for office and work and, without thinking more about the switching algorithm, get double the pleasure of touch ten-finger typing.

After enabling keyboard layouts for multiple languages in the Windows operating system, you can select the desired languages using the language bar.
Note: If you just want to add some foreign characters and you only enter text in Cyrillic languages such as Russian or Ukrainian, you can insert characters without switching to a different keyboard layout.

Switching keyboard layouts using the language bar
When switching to another language using the language bar, the keyboard layout changes to the layout for the selected language.
Use the language bar in the following cases:

to switch between languages with a Latin alphabet, such as English, Spanish, or French, and other languages, such as Arabic or Chinese;

to use standard keyboard layouts when typing in different Latin script languages.

With the desired keyboard language enabled, open a document and place the cursor where you want to enter text in another language.

Click the language icon of the language bar that should appear on the taskbar next to the clock hand and select the desired language.
Keyboard shortcut: To switch to a different keyboard layout, press ALT+SHIFT.
Note: The icon is just an example. it shows that the active keyboard layout is English. The icon that appears on your computer depends on the language of the active keyboard layout and version of Windows.
If multiple keyboard layouts are installed for the same language, to switch between them, click the keyboard layout icon in the language bar and select the desired layout. The letters on the indicator will change according to the active keyboard layout.

I can’t see the language bar
Usually, the language bar automatically appears on the desktop or taskbar when two or more keyboard layouts are enabled in the Windows operating system. The language bar does not appear if it is hidden or only one keyboard layout is enabled in the operating system.
If the language bar is not visible, follow these steps to check if the language bar is hidden.
