SIMPLE ZOMBIE MOD v1.0.2d

Shout out to Reyser for helping me out with the mod!

INSTALLATION:

  • Optional: Watch the video.
  • Install both the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 (or higher, so skip this on Windows 10) and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package for Visual Studio 2013 (x64).
  • Download/Install ScriptHookV
  • Download/Install ScriptHookVDotNet
  • Download/Install NativeUI
  • Add the .dll and .pdb files from the zip to the scripts folder. (Your C:/GTA5Directory/scripts/)
  • NATIIVE UI GOES IN YOUR SCRIPTS FOLDER

USAGE:

  • Once in game you can hit ‘I’ to bring up the inventory, and craft items with C, and show how to make the items with F.
  • You can hit F10 to bring up the zombies menu.
  • You can go up to a bodyguard and press E to configure him/her.
  • When in front of a vehicle with low engine health, ‘E’ to repair it.

NOTES:

  • Zombie are attracted to noise so be weary of that or you may attract the horde. Manage your survivors so they won’t shoot when you don’t want them to. (Remember that you can apply tasks to all survivors at once).
  • This IS a survival mod, so food and sleep need to be managed, make sure you hunt for food and loot for resources regularly so you can stay alive in this cold new world.
  • If you run into a «friendly» group, try not to shoot at them. During a zombie apocalypse there is no such thing as being civil.
  • Build up your camp, and recruit new survivors. Remember that you can tell them to stay behind and «Chill» if needed.
  • Manage weapons you share with your group. After all, weapons are the key to having the upper hand against dangerous enemies.
  • Craft walls and barricades to keep zombies from entering your safe zone.

The menu key-codes are editable in the .ini file that is created after you run the game with the mod.

CHANGELOG:
v1.0.2d

  • Fixed water bug where the player was not able to get water from ocean or lakes.
  • Fixed resource limit where you could not craft weapon crates.
  • Patched vehicle spawning so they won’t always spawn in walls.
  • Added some vehicle damage to windows and doors on certain cars.
  • Added vehicle parts and repair kit required for fixing vehicles.
  • Turned off vending machines.
  • Fixed bandages so they will give both health and armor.
  • Fixed ammo crafting so you don’t craft as much ammo.
  • Sorted ammo crafting menu by weapon group instead of weapon.
  • Fixed small spelling mistake.

v1.0.2c
Inventory & Loot Patch

  • Re-balanced the inventory limits.
  • Water gives more thirst.
  • Packaged food gives more hunger and very little thirst.
  • Removed the controller button for now.
  • Loot crate drops are more rare. (20% chance)
  • Merry-weather peds shouldn’t linger around anymore even after finishing the loot drop.

v1.0.2b1

  • Fixed script crash after saving guards.
  • Night time is extremely dangerous. 50% of the zombies are fast zombies, so you better craft some ammo or sleep through the night!
  • Added more room for consumable inventory items.

v1.0.2b

  • Fixed script crash after being in restricted area with survivors enabled.
  • Fixed timer bar not appearing for crate drops.
  • Changed keycode for recruiting survivors.
  • Fixed ammo creation bug giving too much ammo.
  • Fixed survivors spawning too close to the player.
  • Fixed some survivors not spawning.
  • Fixed loot drop giving too many items.
  • Fixed script crash after saving vehicle before loading vehicles first.

v1.0.2

  • Completely re-wrote the mod.
  • Prison gates are now open (sometimes the announcer general dude still talks but I don’t think that’s changeable).
  • Inventory has item limits. (Don’t worry I’ll add a loot container soon)
  • Zombies are pretty much the same, but the performance loss is completely gone.
  • You can clear out restricted areas of zombies (airport, prison, docks, etc)
  • Weather randomly changes after waking up from sleeping.
  • Added ammo crafting on the work benches.
  • Added full controller support (Dpad left to open inventory and to navigate to the menu).
  • Added new buildable inventory items and resources.
  • Added ability to lock/unlock doors and gates.
  • Added the ability to save/load map, guards, and vehicles.
  • There are two different types of air-drops (loot and weapons).
  • Some craftable item models have changed.
  • A LOT of bug fixes.
  • Most in-game options are now on the menu for quicker access instead of the .ini file.
  • Zombie damage is configurable.
  • Fast zombies are a lot harder in hand-to-hand combat, and they will have a greater chance of tackling you.
  • The survivor (guard) menu has changed.
  • Fixed bug where guards sometimes won’t follow you or the menu won’t open for them.
  • There is now a limit to a number of survivors you can have in your group.

v1.0.1c

  • Zombies are WAY more aware of their surroundings and they’re a lot more sensitive to sound now.
  • Silencers are now craftable and work with any weapon that can have one.
  • Added customizable militia vehicle model to ini. Make sure you know the exact model name before entering it.
  • Zombie hearing range has been increased (configurable in .ini file).
  • Zombie health is now configurable in the . ini file.
  • You can now create water from a bottle, beach water, and a camp fire.
  • Added facial animations to runners.
  • You can sneak behind zombie up to a certain point before they notice you.
  • Added new «dirty water» resource that can be used to make clean water.
  • It’s way easier to sleep now, and nearby enemies will be marked on your map if there are any. If you’re in an area where pedestrians usually spawn like city streets etc. don’t expect for it to always be free of zombies, that’s just the nature of the game.

v1.0.1b

  • Added fast zombies (enabled via .ini file). They will tackle you, and
make sure that you don’t stand a chance in close combat.
  • Optimized a bit of the performance issues.
  • Added ability to loot 24/7 shops.
  • Updated script so it will not overwrite map (for now until I add car save/loading).
  • Added new «Thirst» stat.
  • Added 1 new inventory item and 1 new resource.

v1.0.1a

  • Polished some distance calculations.
  • Still working on optimizations.
  • Fixed blip sprites appearing on map for non-blip objects.
  • Added new banner to weapon crates menu.

v1.0.1

  • Zombies eat dead body’s.
  • Optomized some of the performance issues (still looking into it).
  • Added some debug warnings when models don’t load properly.
  • No longer using subtitles for showing that survivors are nearby.
  • Changed repair vehicle button.

v1.0.0b

  • Fixed invisible model bug when building walls, and stairs.

v1.0.0a

  • Fixed map not loading after game load, it should work 100% of the time now. Please let me know if you continue to experience issues. Thank you!

v1.0.0

  • Added new inventory items (stairs/doors/weapon container/flashlight).
  • Zombies are now killed instantly by hits to the head from melee weapons (They have to be hard hits).
  • Interactables are now treated the same with different interaction logic (this gives me more options in the future to add even more interactables).
  • Car repair time has been internally shortened (still configurable).
  • Hostile survivors will not spawn near you anymore (was noticing people having issues with them spawning in front of them).
  • Zombies will not spawn around the props you place, so if you build a camp they will not spawn nearby (you still have to kill the remaining ones).
  • Game-spawned planes will free fall from the sky, just like an apocalypse.
  • Inventory items given from loot drops are a bit more scarce than regular, however weapons are still abundant.
  • Bandages give a bit more health than before.
  • Zombies can take a ton of bullets, and they WILL GUARANTEED get back up if not shot in the head. They will no longer play the writhe/injured on ground animation even when riddled with bullets.
  • New animal looting animation.

v0.9.6

  • Fixed issue with save/load not removing out of date files.
  • Fixed issue with save/load creating tent’s that where removed in the last save.

NOTE: If the zombies spawn somewhere else not near you, make sure you toggle off the mod, press Insert to reload the script and toggle the mod on again, it should fix this.

To install, place GTZ.dll AND NativePI.dll into your scripts folder with ScriptHookVDotNet.dll.

Press the «F7» key to open the menu and toggle the mod. You can edit the menu key and other options in the ini file that is created in your root folder when the mod is launched.

More updates will come soon! As of now, the alpha is nothing compared to what we are doing in the future. Think big, like DayZ big. Random events, stores, looting, shootouts, and more!

The 0.2a update may seem small to you, but the reason for this update taking so long, is because everything has already been added to an API. We’re only tweaking everything now so that it is perfect when we release it. This includes a looting system, abandoned vehicles (with inventory and parts), store system, ally system, random events and more types of zombies.

      Changelog:

      0.1a
      — Initial Release.

      0.2a

A LOT of things have been re-done in this update.

      — C++ to C#.
      — New Menu which will hold many more options such as inventory, contacts, etc. in the future.
      — Randomized weapons.
      — Blackout.
      — Bloody random pedestrian zombies that spawn based on where you are at. (Soldiers at Fort Zancudo, etc.)
      — Zombie dogs.
      — Fast zombies
      — Zombies will walk like zombies now towards you and try to kill you.
      — Fixed only a few zombies attacking you.
      — Zombies don’t attack you until you come close (will be configurable).
      — Better spawns.

      0.25a
      — Configuration file added that will generate in your root folder and in which you can set the menu key, zombie spawning number, etc.

          Zombie Apocalypse in GTA 5

Hello friends! We have prepared for you the best zombie mob in the GTA 5 universe with a full description, installation instructions and tips! Rather, watch, download and start playing!

The theme of the zombie apocalypse is very popular in popular culture. You can recall such products of cinema as “I Am Legend”, “28 Days Later” or the cult television series “The Walking Dead”. The computer games industry is not far behind. Here we can note the Dead Space and DayZ series, which immerses gamers in the atmosphere of post-apocalyptic survival. Our beloved Grand Theft Auto V can be turned into something similar. This is done using mod , which will be discussed below.

We have studied all the information on this topic and tried many patches that add the walking dead to GTA 5. And now we can say with confidence that the best option is Simple Zombies !

          Zombie mod for GTA 5

If you can’t wait to download this great modification and start destroying the dead as soon as possible, then scroll down this page to the «Installation» section, but it’s better to read 9 first0005 description and features of this modding.

So, after successfully installing Simple Zombies and entering the game, a special menu will become available to you, which is activated by pressing F10. Here’s how it looks:

Just in case, let’s write down what each of the items means:

Infection mode — enables and disables the program action.

Fast Zombies — adds faster and more dangerous ghouls. As a bonus, they scream heart-rendingly, signaling their approach.

Electricity — affects the availability of electricity in Los Santos. If you uncheck it, it will be completely dark at night, which will add atmosphere, and make the world even more hostile and sinister.

Survivors — places other survivors in locations. You can accept them into your team, give them orders, share ammunition with them, etc.

Stats — Enables and disables the impact on the gameplay of parameters such as stamina, hunger and thirst of your hero. As soon as they drop to zero, you die. Therefore, you should systematically eat, drink water and sleep, restoring strength.

Save and load — save and load.

After you activate the top checkbox, GTA V will begin a real apocalypse ! All passers-by will disappear, and instead of them aggressive-minded corpses will appear, which will take one blow to send you to the next world.

          Main features of add-on

          1) Zombies are really made very “realistically” and correspond to all accepted canons. They can be killed, only smashed the skull of with them. Although a regular shot will be enough. Shooting at the body, knocking them down with a wheelbarrow is useless: they rise and attack again.

But it is not advisable to open fire on the wandering dead. The noise will immediately attract even more opponents , which will be much more difficult to fight off. Just like in the movies, don’t you agree? 🙂

          2) Let’s move on. At night, evil spirits are much more active than during the day. An on-screen prompt will warn you every time when dusk is approaching. Therefore, after sunset, it is preferable to sleep in a safe corner. Another plus for realism.

          3) Not only you, but also other lucky people managed to survive. They are marked on the map with a blue marker and the inscription friendly. To recruit one of them, just run up close and press the F key . Instructions are then given with button E .

There are several options for ordering members of your group: stand still, guard you, get into the car to the character (or run after it if there are no seats left in the car), fight, rest, or leave the group.

          4) In addition to friendly NPCs, there are enemies who will try to shoot you when they meet. We’ve already seen this somewhere, haven’t we? 🙂 They are marked with a red dot.

After being destroyed, all kinds of useful resources fall out of them, from which you can craft items and build buildings (more on that below).

          5) The map shows areas where wild animals live and where you can hunt . If you do not want to die of hunger, you will have to do this regularly.

          6) You can’t just take other people’s cars. Initially, they are all broken, and they must first be repaired . And for this you need a special tool.

          7) From time to time military company Merryweather drops humanitarian parcels in the city. They are marked with large yellow circles and can be of two types — with weapons or resources. True, picking them up is not so easy, because the cargo is guarded by vicious warriors. Therefore, before you try to grab such a tidbit, gather yourself a small army and arm yourself to the teeth.

          8) One of the nicest aspects of the add-on is ‘s own chance to form objects from resources that you will collect from defeated enemies. The choice of possibilities is very large: from a tent and a fire to a set of tools for repairing cars and entire autonomous settlements!

Just imagine: it is allowed to build walls, gates and barricades, enclose any territory with them, and then populate the remaining people there.

Installation zombie mod for Grand Theft Auto V

If you liked the chips above, then it’s time to go directly to the installation. You should read our article on how to properly install modifications in GTA 5. Well, if you are too lazy, or you are confident in your knowledge, then read only the text below.

          1) Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package installed.

          2) Download 3 archives: ScriptHookV, ScriptHookVDotNet and NativeUI. The files from the first two need to be copied to the root folder of the game, and from the third — to the scripts folder, which we create in advance in the same GTA V source directory. The photo below shows which files and where to copy.

          3) Download the Simple Zombies package itself. Take 2 files with .dll and .pdb format from it and drop them into the scripts directory, which we just mentioned.

That’s it, the process is over! We recommend that you do without codes to get the most out of it! And for a snack, a short video:
