    Fasten your seat-belts.

A young couple Sam and Paula are planning to be hitched, but when they confront Paula’s influential parents about it. They won’t have any of it, and beg her to marry the snobby, rich Colin. Instead she and Sam steal her father’s Rolls Royce and head to Las Vegas to elope. From this a large road chase eventuates with Colin calling a radio station to announce a $25,000 reward for Paula. While on their tails, Colin’s mother Vivian joins in with another $25,000 for his return. Soon Paula’s father has got out the big guns to stop them, while plenty of nutty people join in chase for the doe and the local radio station DJ happens to be commentating the action in a hovering helicopter.

Just sit back, and soak it all up. Following the success of Ron Howard’s starring vehicle «Eat My Dust». Another chance was on offer, and this follow up had Ron Howard kicking off his directorial debut under the watchful eye of producer Roger Corman and what we get is purely light-headed fun with non-stop bustle and chaos ensured. This tight budget drive-in, b-film is a madcap chase comedy all the way, which is ebulliently staged and provides such a rush due to Howard’s concisely economical and desirable direction. The animatedly mindless screenplay, which is penned by Ron and his father Rance Howard crackles with plenty of freedom to cluster and stretch out the story with mini sub-plots, clever visual gags, highly witty dialogues and a circus show of colourful characters. The concept is simple, old-school and cartoonish, but Howard’s knowledgeable timing and honest tailoring lets the film open up naturally with its crackerjack pacing that never lets the momentum slip and expansively robust and tightly choreographed stunts that lead onto a smash-a-thon of fast and stolen motor vehicles ending in flourish of explosions. Howard captures many well-displayed images. Helping out behind the scenes, is that of Joe Dante’s airtight, sped-up editing to Gary Graver’ sharply inventive cinematography and giving the film some heart is the casually, cosy music score that can spruce up when needed. Being shot on location in open desert back roads gave it a down ‘n’ dirty feel of authenticity. Attached to it are joyful performances from the entire cast who like to gesture a lot. Nancy Morgan shines excellently in a sprightly cheeky turn as Paula and Ron Howard amusedly sits on cruise control as Sam. The Corman-regulars that co-star on this one range from the eccentrically self-absorbed performance by a fantastic Don Steele, Clint Howard, Rance Howard and a minor appearance by Paul Bartel. Marion Ross and Paul Linke are a riot as Vivian and Collin Hedgeworth. Playing Paula’s snotty parents are the enjoyably comic Elizabeth Rogers and Barry Cahill. Also Jim Ritz, Hoke Howell and Garry Marshall give capable, snappy and crazy support. Oh, they don’t make ’em like this anymore. Man, these type of spirited features really put these wannabe shallow Hollywood dosh to shame. Something about these outings just seem to stay fresh.

«Grand Theft Auto» is a groovy, no-nonsense splurge into high-octane overload, which is considerably well executed with clarity and precision for what it is. So go ahead and floor it for one pleasurable and fulfilling genre romp.

    Description

The player can watch movies by accessing one of the three cinemas in Los Santos.

    • Tivoli Cinema
    • Ten Cent Theater
    • Oriental Theater

While the Cinema Doppler can be purchased by the player, movies cannot be seen there. Numerous other cinemas can be found in the city, but they cannot be accessed.

The player can also bring friends to movies while on activities. Entry costs $20 per person. Most movies are preceded by either a trailer for another film or an advisory about behaviour in the theatre. The player cannot move around once inside, but can move the camera to get a limited view of the theatre and see some of the other people attending the film. The cinema interiors are identical, but the number of people (if any) viewing the film will vary, though never more than a few individuals.

The movie shown will depend on what time of day the cinema is accessed and will not always correspond with what is on the marquee. The cinemas are unique among player-usable businesses in Grand Theft Auto V as they are not open 24 hours a day; between 10pm and 10am, they cannot be accessed. This also applies to Grand Theft Auto Online. In GTA V, the shown movie will always start from the beginning, whereas in GTA Online, the movies have set show times and thus it is common to enter a movie as it is in progress.

Owing to the length of the films, they can continue to play well after the 10pm closing time, though the player can’t re-enter the theater once the showing is over if it is late at night.

In GTA Online, owners of the Master Penthouse may also view two of the films (Meltdown and Loneliest Robot in Great Britain) in the optional Media Room.

    Viewable Movies

    • The Loneliest Robot in Great Britain
      • Screens from 10am to 12pm
    • Capolavoro
      • Screens from 1pm to 5pm
    • Meltdown
      • Screens from 6pm to 10pm (unlocks after the mission of the same title is completed)

    Unviewable Movies

    • Die Already 4 — A play on action films like Die Hard.
    • I Married my Dad
    • Los Santos 2020
    • Neurotic Toys — Possibly a reference to the Toy Story series.
    • The Simian — A parody of disaster films like Rise of the Planet of the Apes. A trailer can be seen before Meltdown.
    • Sequel II — A play on movie sequels in general.
    • Water Torture IX

    Glitch

    • Meltdown is not supposed to be viewable until after completing the mission of the same title. In the PS3 version, however, it was possible to sometimes see the film before the mission was undertaken. It is also available for viewing in GTA Online, both in cinemas and the Master Penthouse’s Media Room.

    Movies for fans of GTA

Movies that every fan of the GTA game series should definitely enjoy. They, we believe, inspired the guys from Rockstar to create their famous games. The first game in the series was released in 1997. In Grand Theft Auto, the player must feel like a gangster, completing various tasks and missions of a criminal nature, such as contract killings, bank robberies, robberies and others. In general, do everything to move up the criminal career ladder from the very bottom to honor and respect in the world of bandits. The game has become one of the most popular and cult, the film on the game has not yet been made, but the films that probably inspired GTA developers quite a lot, here are just a few of them.

The famous movie « Scarface » (Scarface, 1983) is a cult crime drama about a native of Cuba who made a frenzied criminal career in the USA. The film tells the story of a character named Tony Montana who started out with the dirtiest and most dangerous job and was eventually able to build his own criminal empire. The game itself became the basis for GTA: Vice City. Tommy Vercetti, although different from Tony, has a lot in common with him. In addition, the Vercetti mansion was completely copied from the Montana mansion. Also, the film is worth watching to enjoy the great soundtrack and the almost heavenly city of Miami.

The cult « Pulp Fiction » (Pulp Fiction, 1994) is a gangster comedy and simply a masterpiece from director Quentin Tarantino. It shows the stories of various characters, which at some point are intertwined. One of the main features of the film is that the director deliberately violated the chronological order of the events shown. The film had a big impact on San Andreas. By the way, Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who played one of the main roles, also voiced one of the key characters in San Andreas — Frank Tenpenny. The soundtrack of this film is also excellent.

Action « Threat to society » (Menace II Society, 1993) — a film that realistically shows life in an African American ghetto. Under the influence of which the main character begins his criminal life. The Grove Street gang was partly based on the O-Dog gang from this film. Other small details were also borrowed from this picture.

The cult action movie of the 90s directed by Michael Mann « Fight » (Heat, 1995), is objectively considered the basis of the game’s storyline. The film clearly presents realistic shootouts and the most daring robberies, just like a GTA player sees … The influence of this director’s creation can be seen in literally every game in the GTA series. Costumes of heroes, weapons, techniques. Too many references to the movie and back to the game.

The key to the success of the game, perhaps, was the striking similarity of the storyline with the most important gangster action movie of all time — the saga « The Godfather » (The Godfather, 1972). The cult crime drama of no less cult director Francis Ford Coppola has become literally a textbook for all subsequent gangster films. And GTA is no exception. In the third part of the game there are a number of tasks and quests in which the breath of Don Corleone can be clearly seen.

Protagonist, Free Guy (2021, movie) — “GTA fans will immediately recognize their favorite game. A simple film, when you do not want to think, but just want to have fun. Ideal for New Year holidays for ages 10 to 50.”

    Good afternoon!

My son and I love to go to the cinema together. This is from childhood, when every trip to a large entertainment center turned into a holiday.

And now we decided to go to the cinema, as before. Usually in such cases, you don’t want to look at anything serious. And we choose fantasy or comedy. Chose between «Dune» and «Protagonist». We settled on the «Protagonist» as a simpler and brighter one.

    About the film

    production: 2021

    Country: USA, Canada

    Genre: Fiction, Action, Comedy, Melodrama

    Slogan

“Life is too short to be on the saps”

    Director : Shawn Levy

    Budget : 120000000 $

Kinopoisk users rated the film at 7. 2 points. Well, not bad at all. Not a ten, of course, but not a deuce either.

Here’s what the movie description says:

Everything goes smoothly for an employee of a large bank, until one day Will he have the courage to rewrite his code, draw the attention of a beautiful girl to himself and, finally, save the world? In a word, will he become the main character?

The main character doesn’t even have a name.

He’s just the Blue Shirt Guy, a typical secondary character in every game. The one who gets robbed gets run over by cars and is there more to fill the background than the action.
Immediately there are associations with the GTA.

In the film, they also rob banks, go armed to the teeth, shoot, smash cars and kill everyone who gets in their way.

But that doesn’t scare me at all. After all, all this happens against a bright background, easily and without unnecessary tin and bloodshed. In the cartoon «Just you wait» we are not afraid when a wolf rushes on a crumbling motorcycle after a poor bunny. So here, the shots are more likely to cause laughter than they seem to be something terrible.

So you can safely go with the children. Although the age limit is 16+. But to be honest, our kids master GTA long before they are 16 years old. And there are no scenes of violence in the film.

And so our simple guy meets Her. Bright beauty in glasses.

And he suddenly finds out that the world around him is part of a huge video game, and he himself is just a minor character in it. But She is just a player, she is able to decide what to do.

And he falls in love and love makes the main character out of a minor character. Not just the main one, but capable of changing your world. Together they oppose Evil and win.
As a result, the world of the Guy in the Blue Shirt has changed. Kind and positive.
